Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) is a multidimensional construct encompassing physical, emotional, psychological, and social domains based on individuals' self-perception. It has been increasingly used as a health indicator in children and adolescents. Studies have shown that lifestyle factors such as physical activity, reduced screen time, and adequate sleep can contribute to improving HRQoL in adolescents. The aim of the present study was to examine the association of movement behaviors (physical activity, screen time, and sleep duration) with indicators of physical well-being, psychological well-being, and health-related quality of life in adolescents. The study included 746 adolescents of both sexes, aged 11 to 15 years, enrolled in public schools in Jacarezinho, Paraná, Brazil. Sleep duration was assessed through a specific question related to habitual bedtime and wake-up time. Screen time was evaluated using a question about the daily time spent on recreational electronic device use. Physical activity levels were measured using accelerometers (ActiGraph GT3X-BT). For global HRQoL, physical well-being, and psychological well-being, the KIDSCREEN questionnaire was used. Generalized linear models were applied for statistical analysis, with a significance level of p < 0.05. Analyses of individual movement behaviors revealed associations between screen time and physical well-being (β = 1.07, 95% CI: 1.00–1.14), as well as between sleep duration and both overall HRQoL (β = 1.05, 95% CI: 1.01–1.08) and psychological well-being (β = 1.07, 95% CI: 1.03–1.10). Combined analyses of sleep duration and screen time showed significant associations with overall HRQoL (β = 1.08, 95% CI: 1.02–1.15), physical well-being (β = 1.11, 95% CI: 1.03–1.21), and psychological well-being (β = 1.09, 95% CI: 1.01–1.18). These findings highlight the importance of adhering to 24-hour movement guidelines, indicating that doing so can enhance adolescents' physical well-being, psychological well-being, and overall HRQoL.
