Properly implementing soil amendment and fertilization techniques requires a complex decision-making process. Fertilizer management becomes an important factor due to its ability to directly influence interactions between fertilizer and soil. To protect the environment and support agricultural sustainability, a no-tillage system is adopted, which alters the dynamics of organic matter and biological activity. This study aimed to evaluate the technical feasibility of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilization application methods for maize and their effects on the properties of an Oxisol under the no-tillage system. The experiment was conducted at the Prof. Dr. Eduardo Meneghel Rando Experimental Farm, State University of Northern Paraná, Luiz Meneghel Campus, located in Bandeirantes/PR, using maize crops and nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers, and was established in 2015. The experimental design comprised randomized blocks with 7 treatments: T1 (no fertilization), T2 (NPK broadcast), T3 (NPK applied in the planting furrow), T4 (NP broadcast and K applied in the furrow), T5 (NP applied in the furrow and K broadcast), T6 (NK broadcast and P applied in the furrow), and T7 (NK applied in the furrow and P broadcast), with 4 replications. Each plot consisted of 6 maize rows, measuring 6 m in length × 4.5 m in width, totaling 27 m²; the usable area comprised the 4 central rows, excluding 1 m from each end of the plot. Phytometric parameters, yield, and soil chemical, physical, and microbiological attributes were evaluated. Results were subjected to analysis of variance, and means were compared using the Duncan test. The treatments showing the best performance, both in yield and soil attributes, were NP broadcast + K in the furrow, and NP in the furrow + K broadcast. When comparing only NPK broadcast versus NPK in the furrow, higher yield was observed under broadcast fertilization.
