Resumo
In this work, we seek, through the inductive method, combined with the documentary
ethnographic method, in a qualitative analysis, with a bibliographic review in the area
of Cultural Criminology and peripheral studies, to delve deeper into the problems
surrounding mass incarceration from a horizontal perspective, observing the voices
and feelings of subjects who go through the Brazilian criminal justice system. The
discussions thus start from the use and transformation of critical and cultural
criminological research, highlighting the reality of Brazil, and questioning the possibility
of using rap in order to bring to old criminological knowledge and common sense a
rupture of thought, in the hope of containing punitive power and denouncing the
problems of violence suffered inside and outside prison by certain social groups,
represented here by marginal and street culture. From what can be observed, the
number of incarcerated people is increasing in the country, while violence, exclusion,
among other problems, are also growing, associated with the intensification of the
punitive discourse, even though official data and the point from the perspective of the
victim population in this context. Because of this, the possibility of active and marginal
discourse as support for studies is debated, as well as demonstrating, as a result, the
benefits of this initiative and interdisciplinarity, through the use of Art, as a pillar for
deepening research from the perspective “seen from below”, capable of giving new
meanings to the reality experienced by vulnerable groups, listening to and empowering
them, as well as removing the maintenance of the penal system.
Abstract
No presente trabalho busca-se, por meio do método indutivo, aliado ao método
etnográfico documental, em uma análise qualitativa, com revisão bibliográfica na área
da Criminologia Cultural e dos estudos periféricos, se aprofundar aos problemas em
torno do encarceramento em massa pela perspectiva horizontal, observada as vozes
e sentimentos dos sujeitos que passam pelo sistema de justiça criminal brasileiro. As
discussões partem-se, assim, do aproveitamento e transformação das pesquisas
criminológicas Críticas e Culturais, colocando-se em destaque a realidade do Brasil,
e questionando a possibilidade de utilização do rap com o fim de trazer ao antigo saber
criminológico e senso comum uma ruptura de pensamento, na expectativa de se
conter o poder punitivo e denunciar os problemas da violência sofrida dentro e fora do
cárcere por determinados grupos sociais, representados aqui pela cultura marginal e
de rua. Pelo que se observa, cada vez mais o número de encarcerados aumenta no
país, ao passo que a violência, a exclusão, entre outros problemas, também crescem,
associados à intensificação do discurso punitivista, mesmo mostrando-se falido pelos
dados oficias e pelo ponto de vista da população vítima desse contexto. Em razão
disso, é debatida a possibilidade do discurso ativo e marginal como suporte aos
estudos, bem como demonstrado, como resultado, os benefícios dessa iniciativa e da
interdisciplinaridade, por meio da utilização da Arte, como pilar para o aprofundamento
da pesquisa pela perspectiva “vista de baixo”, capazes de dar novos significados à
realidade vivenciada por grupos vulnerabilizados, os ouvindo e emponderando, bem
como afastar a manutenção do sistema penal.
