The aim of this study was to evaluate the response of chickpea cultivars at different sowing spacings in northern region of Paraná. The trial was conducted at the Estação Dashen Consultoria e Pesquisa Agronômica, in city of Bandeirantes-PR, and from March to September 2020. Six chickpea cultivars (BRS Toro, BRS Cícero, BRS Aleppo, BRS Cristalino, BRS Kalifa and CP 1605) were used in three row spacing (0.4 m, 0.5 m and 0.6 m). The experimental design was randomized blocks, in a 6x3 factorial scheme, with 18 treatments and 4 repetitions, totaling 72 experimental units. The variables evaluated were: plant height and stem diameter at 40, 80 days after emergence and at maturation; stand 7 days after emergence and at harvest; insertion height of the first pod; number of pods per plant; pod length; number of grains per pod and mass of 1000 grains; harvest index; biomass; macro and micronutrient analysis; bromatological analysis (Proteins and Fiber in Neutral Detergent) and productivity. The cultivars CP 1605, Cícero, BRS Toro and BRS Aleppo presented precocity as to their cycle. In the growth of chickpea plants, there was no cultivar interaction and spacing for the variables plant height, stem diameter and biomass. The different spacing did not influence the production components. Cultivar BRS Aleppo at 40 cm spacing between rows achieved a yield of 1055 kg ha⁻¹, above the world average yield. Cultivar BRS Aleppo had the highest levels of crude protein in grains. Among the groups, the Kabuli group had a higher level of crude protein when compared to the Desi group. The most accumulated macronutrients and micronutrients in grains were N, K, P, Mn and Zn.
