Knowing this, oral supplementation appears as a possibility to guarantee such levels, and is normally consumed in the form of disodium salt commonly through the Peak ATP® supplement, which can be consumed acutely or chronically. Objectives: To verify the influence of a dose of ATP on muscular performance and psychophysiological responses in adults. Methods: This is an acute, crossover, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled intervention study. 20 male volunteers were recruited, with an average age of 27.95 years, healthy and with experience in resistance training. There were two visits to the laboratory, the first being aimed at anchoring the subjective perception of effort (PSE) and pleasure/displeasure (FS) scales and assessing body composition, as well as applying the first protocol. The second visit was intended for the application of the second protocol, where each of the protocols was composed of randomized supplementation of 400mg of Peak ATP® or placebo, and 30 minutes later, five series were performed, where the first consisted of five repetitions and the following four of ten repetitions at 60° per second in knee extension and flexion on a Biodex® 4.0 isokinetic dynamometer, where the volunteers' muscle strength and resistance to fatigue were measured and at the end of each series the Scale was randomly presented OMNI-RES and the Feeling Scale. For data analysis, the normality of the data was assessed using Shapiro Wilk, the ANOVA repeated measures test with Bonferroni's post hoc test was used to identify possible significant differences found in parametric data, while in non-parametric data the Friedman test with Wilcoxon post-hoc and Bonferroni correction. To identify the effect size, Cohen's d test was performed, and the statistical package used will be IBM SPSS 25.0 with an adopted significance value of p<0.05. Results: Acute supplementation was unable to achieve significant improvements in muscle strength indicators. The supplement reduced strength drops as the knee extension exercise progressed compared to placebo (p<0.05), as well as reducing RPE and drops in affective response throughout the protocol (p<0.05). Conclusions: The acute dose of 400mg of ATP did not improve the volunteers' muscle strength indicators, but it was able to reduce fatigue levels as the exercise progressed, enabling greater performance for longer, as well as less sensation of effort and greater affective response during the protocol.
