    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of inclusion of oils in the diet on the kinetics of fermentation, degradability and methane production in vitro by the technique of cumulative gas production (PCG). The treatments consisted of inclusion levels (0%, 4%, 8% and 12%) of soybean oil, peanut oil, canola oil and sunflower oil to standard forage (Brachiaria), using a completely randomized design with thirteen treatments and three replications. Ruminal fermentation kinetics and methane production was assessed by semi-automatic vitro gas production technique. Ruminal fermentation kinetics in vitro, as well as the production of methane, oil and for different concentrations studied had similar behavior to each other, with no statistical difference between them. It can be concluded that the different sources and oil concentrations did not affect ruminal fermentation kinetics in vitro and greenhouse gas emissions, but the inclusion of different oils reduced the emission of CO2 and CH4 in all percentages. However there is still the need for more research in this area to clarify the boundaries between positive and negative effects of adding oil in the diet of ruminants.
