The objective of this study was to evaluate the productivity of coffee tree and the attributes physical and chemical of soil depending on the managements between rows of this culture. The study was conducted in the Santa Rosa farm, in eutroferric Red Latosol, in the city of Cândido Mota/SP, using the coffee culture cultivar IAPAR 59, deployed in 2007. The experimental design was a randomized block design with 7 treatments applied between rows of coffee: T1 (control treatments plus weeding), T2 (control without weeding), T3 (filter pie), T4 (beans), T5 (dwarf mucuna) T6 (corn) and T7 (pearl millet), with 4 replicates. The plots consisted of 4 between rows coffee, 8 m long by 14 m wide, resulting in a total area of 112 m2, being considered the useful area between rows the two central lines, discounting between rows one line in each side, and excluding the two the ends of the plants in each plot, resulting in a population of 12 plants. Soil samples were collected at depths of 0-10, 10-20 and 20- 40 cm, initially, and at the end of the experiment. Were determined in coffee foliar concentrations of macro and micronutrients and productivity. In the soil were determined: the density, porosity, resistance to soil penetration, diameter class aggregates, routine analysis and micronitrientes and for intercropping: the productivity of corn and beans and production of fresh and dry mass of the dwarf mucuna and pearl millet. Data were compared by analysis of variance at 5% level of probability, using the software SASM-Agri. The results showed that: the levels of foliar N were higher when between rows of coffee plants were grazed at with leguminous plants and the highest levels of foliar S and B were found in the treatment with the use of filter pie and the lowest levels of foliar nutrition were obtained with the management of between rows with corn and pearl millet. In soil, the use of filter cake and mucuna dwarf have increased M.O., Ca, P and cultivation of corn and pearl millet favored an increase of Zn and B. The improvements in soil physical attributes are associated with higher productivity of coffee plant when its between rows were used dwarf mucuna, filter pie and control without weeding. The productivity in coffee trees was higher when handled with dwarf mucuna, followed by filter pie and control without weeding in between its rows.

The test was conducted at the experimental farm of the University of North Paraná State - Campus Luiz Meneghel ( UENP / CLM ), the Bandeirantes - Paraná , the predominant soil in the area is the Oxisoil . The experimental design was randomized blocks , contained in five treatments with 0 , 5 , 10 , 15 and 20 Mg ha- 1 year-1- of pelleted poultry litter, with four replications , totaling 20 plots . Data were subjected to analysis of variance and regression parameters for the production of dry matter ( Mg ha- 1) and crude protein content . The physical and chemical soil variables was analyzed by Tukey test at 5% probability. The soil chemistry parameters was assessed levels of organic matter , potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium from the soil and the soil physical attributes parameters evaluated were soil density, macro, micro, total porosity, percentage of aggregates and mechanical resistance soil penetration . The results showed: the of pelleted poultry litter can be considered an important source of nutrients to the grassy studied providing the increased production of dry matter, content of organic matter, exchangeable K and influence on soil aggregation.

Stands out in the agricultural sector as a soybeans and corn producer. The present research had the ambit to study grains producers with respect to knowledge about the occurrence and tactics of pest management. For research development was used a semi-structured questionnaire with questions about social aspects, economic and technical, crop conduction, soybean and corn characteristics, emphasizing the management tactics used by grain producers for insect control. 240 questionnaires were applied to the Londrina’s soybean and corn producers. The obtained results demonstrate that producers receive a technical monitoring and that it interferes as many as products purchase, as in the decision making of the control moment, the most widely used control form still chemical control and few have used biological control, the main pest considered by them, the bedbugs group.

Entomopathogenic nematodes (NEPs) present along with one bacterial symbiont association that manages to control insects. The infective juvenile nematodes of the genera Steinernema and Heterorhabditis Heterorhabditis seek their hosts in the soil and, when they find them in their natural openings penetrate or pierce their cuticle killing the insect within 48 hours. In the laboratory, larvae were individually and fed with artificial diet and corn leaf daily to assess the biological parameters of duration and viability of larval instars, and total duration of each individual instar larval and pupal sex ratio, deformation, mass of caterpillars and pupae, consumption and utilization of food. Was also made in the selection of isolates of NEPs laboratory using nine isolates, namely: Heterorhabditis amazonensis (RSC05); Heterorhabditis indica (IBCB-n05); H. sp. (JPM4), H. sp. (IBCB-n40); H. sp. (NEPET 11); H. sp. (IBCB-n44); H. sp. (Alho); Steinernema carpocapsae (IBCB-n02) and S. sp. (CH3). Test was also performed with different stages in the larval and pupal stages, various concentrations of test (0 – witness, 50 JIs/cm2, 100 JIs/cm2, 150 JIs/cm2and 200 JIs/cm2) of NEPs and in vivo production in Galleria mellonella L. caterpillars (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) with isolated IBCB-n02, IBCB-n05 and Alho, where the concentration of selection test and 3º instar larvae of A. ipsilon and test at home a greenhouse were used. The biology of life, the caterpillars that were fed corn leaf had higher larval duration and greater deformity in adults and pupae, and larvae fed on artificial diet had greater viability of larvae and pupae and shorter larval duration, caterpillars fed with diet artificial ate more food, produced more feces, gained more weight and metabolized more food. In selecting only isolated NEPET 11 did not reach efficient mortality (10%), which differed from the rest that was above 80% to 100% with the isolated CH3. In the test with different stages in the larval stage and pupal stage no single reached higher mortality when compared with the 3º instar larvae in different concentrations of NEPs, isolated Alho reached 10% mortality for the concentration of 50 JIs/cm2and isolated IBCB-n05 reached 100% mortality at a concentration of 200 JIs/cm2. In production test in vivo isolated Alho showed the highest production was 112 138 IJs / larva of G. mellonella. In-house-vegetation isolated IBCB-n02 caused higher mortality differed from the control. The results of this study show that different isolates NEPs have infectivity in the laboratory efficient (greater than 80%) for use in biological control programs for A. ipsilon.

The poultry litter use as a nutrient source for agriculture, including the maize, it is a valuable and promising alternative. The present research had the ambit to study maize productivity for silage as to: Dry Mass production [MS], Crude Protein [PB], Ether Extract [EE], Mineral matter [MM] and Organic Matter [MO] and microbiological soil properties, Microbial Biomass Carbon [CBM] and Metabolic Quotient [qCO2] and the relation CBM/ Total Organic Carbon [COT], in a Rhodic Eutrudox with mineral fertilizer (33 Kg N, 80 Kg P2O5 e 80 Kg K2O) and poultry litter (wood shavings and rice straw) with the treatments 2,5; 5,0; 7,5 e 10,0 Mg ha-1 in consortium oats/maize grown under no-till on crop 2012/2013. The treatments with poultry litter received, at the sowing time, 1/3 mineral fertilizer. The soil sampling were performed in the layer 0 – 10 cm in the inter row at times different (1) oats, (2) after liming, (3) poultry litter after application (4) after herbicide, (5) after corn planting, (6) vegetative phase and (7) reproductive phase. the CBM and qCO2 values were influenced by anthropogenic activity in all treatments, highlighting the CBM fall and significant increase in quotient metabolic in the treatment with mineral fertilizers. The treatments that received poultry litter, the relation CBM/COT demonstrates greater efficiency in the carbon use, no significant changes between rice straw and wood shavings. For the MS production, there was no difference between treatments and nutrient sources, featured the treatments 7,5 PA and 10 MAR that showed the highest levels of protein and ether extract, similar the treatment with mineral fertilizers. Concluded that treatments with poultry litter favored the soil organic matter use, causing less microbiological activity disturbance and that the wood shavings and rice straw poultry litter can replace 2/3 of fertilization lossless or decrease production and corn silage characteristic.

From the using of geotechnologies and the Boolean logic for maps creation, it was possible to gather data referring to the current use of the soil, erosion’s natural potential (ENP), agricultural aptitude of the grounds and to end, the analyses of the conflict of the soil’s use. These are essential studies to prevent environmental impact, whose results enable planning in search of sustainability. The results demonstrated the high potential of soil loss, confirming the fragility of the region. In relation to the uses, it was found all the predetermined sorts, water, urban, forest, silviculture, farming and pasture, standing out the last two ones. The lands of the study area of the search shows a lot of agriculture aptitudes, from the good for farming up to the regular for pasture. The analyses’ result about the conflict of the soil’s use demonstrated the lack of planning when choosing the cultivation implanted, presenting vast areas with underutilization of the soil and some of them with overutilization. This lack of planning combined with the fragility in potential presented's by the soils might bring about significant losses, less agricultural productivity and direct impacts on Guarani Aquifer’s recharging.

Thus, assure the physiological and sanitary quality of seeds is essential to ensure the establishment of a suitable stand, and get satisfactory performance culture. The present work had the purpose to analyze how the carrot seed physiological quality and the use of plant extracts and essential oils in control of Alternaria alternata and Alternaria dauci. The first study consisted of seventeen commercial batches subjected to the following tests: germination, first count, determination of water content in traditional and accelerated aging with saline (NaCl and KCl), and seedling emergence in tray and directly raised. This study evaluated the physiological quality and it was concluded that the physical appearance of the soil influence the emergence of seeds and the accelerated aging test with saline sodium chloride is effective to evaluate the physiological conditions using samples with four grams to determine the level of post-aging moisture to reduce the variation between batches. In the second study, five lots of carrot seeds were treated with aqueous extracts of garlic, coriander, pepper and essential oils of neem and orange peel in different concentrations, assessing the relationship to Alternaria, incidence, the location in different parts of the seeds and the cause of overturning. We conclude that treatment of seeds with plant essential oils and extracts, it was found that the garlic extract and essential oil of orange peel reduced the incidence of A. dauci and A. alternata on carrot seed.

However, the repeated use of glyphosate selected Digitaria insularis biotypes resistant. The ACCase inhibiting herbicides is the main alternative for controlling glyphosate-resistant biotypes. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the resistance of Digitaria insularis from seeds collected in different places of the State of Parana: Cascavel, Palotina, Maringá, Santa Mariana e Leópolis, for a model to evaluate dose-response curve, taking into account doses variables glyphosate 0; 480; 960; 1920; 2880 and 3840 g a.i. ha-1 and clethodim 0; 48; 96; 192; 288 and 384 g a.i. ha-1. Two experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design in a factorial (5 x 6), with five locals and six doses of herbicides, with five replications. For the first experiment, the herbicide used was glyphosate, and, for the second, clethodim plus (assist mineral oil 1.0 L p.c. ha-1). All doses were equivalent to 0; 0,5; 1; 2; 3 and 4 times the recommended dose of herbicide. The experimental unit was represented by 1 pot 1.0 liter with 1 plant. In Cascavel, Palotina, Maringa and Santa Mariana Digitaria insularis biotypes resistant to glyphosate were found. Moreover, in the areas of Cascavel, Palotina and Santa Mariana, Digitaria insularis biotypes which were not controlled by the recommended doses of clethodim were found, indicating these areas the possibility of multiple resistance.

As a pioneering, aggressive species, indifferent to physical conditions of the soil and produce large amounts of seeds, is considered of great importance in the recovery of degraded areas. Distributed along the Atlantic rain forest biome which, due to the intense human occupation and modification of the biome, it is very fragmented and disconnected. Forest fragmentation provokes changes in the population dynamics, which can lead to loss of genetic diversity Population genetic studies using molecular markers allows the evaluation of plant species genetic structure and the genetic variability of tree species in fragmented areas. Aiming to contribute to strategies for conservation and management of tropical tree species, this paper aimed to study through AFLP markers, the genetic diversity and structure of ten populations of S. terebinthifolius from plateau areas and the riparian forest along the Laranjinha river – Pr. Three selective primers combinations made a total of 821 markers. Mean values for polymorphic loci percentage (%P) and the gene diversity index (Hs) were 61.11% and 0.1251, for plateau areas; 51.32% and 0.1073, for riparian areas; 67.59% and 0.1886 for populations of the upper Laranjinha river; 44.84% and 0.0773 for populations of the lower Laranjinha river, respectively. The genetic variability distribution was higher within populations (55.08%) than among populations (44.92%). The Principal Coordinate analysis showed that most of the studied populations were structured into two groups, the upper Laranjinha river populations and the lower Laranjinha river populations, which was also confirmed by Baysean analysis for the number of K clusters and the dendrogram, constructed by the UPGMA method. There was no significant difference in genetic variability between two different regions, plateau and river, so it can not be said that the Laranjinha river constitutes an ecological and genetic aisle for S. terebinthifolius populations.

Its use has intensified in recent years due to increased demand for food production, in the same idea the use of mulch as soil conservation practice soil and water. The aim of this study was to quantify the drift in the wind tunnel and the tank simulator agricultural sprays on soil with and without mulch. The experimental design was completely randomized subjected to analysis of variance and the treatment means by the Confidence Interval and the Tukey’s test (P<0.5). The drift was to evaluate in the wind tunnel with two wind speeds and the tank simulator spray two velocities (1 and 2 m s-1). These combined the two types of ground cover (with and without mulch) speeds totaling four treatments with four replications. The spray nozzles were used AXI 11002 at 414 kPa and the all were mixed up with a food color dye Blue FDC for spectrophotometry analysis of deposits. The results showed that the increase of wind speed in the tunnel have more pronounced effects on the drift in soil without mulch compared with soil covered. The increased speed of the spray affect the sediments on artificial collectors. The deposits collected are affected by the presence of straw on the soil surface. The longitudinal or transverse layout of artificial collectors relative to the spray bar produces no differences in the deposits collected.

This study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity in vitro of the hydroalcoholic extract of the bark of the pomegranate fruit on standard strains of interest the bovine mastitis. The colonies were resuspended and adjusted at a concentration of 107 ml-1 UV-visible spectrophotometry. The extracts were evaluated in five replications in seven concentrations: 1000 mg mL-1to 25 mg mL-1. Were used strains of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Staphylococcus saprophyticus ATCC 15305, Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12228, Escherichia coli ATCC 11229, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Salmonella enterica subsp. serovar Typhi ATCC 19214, Enterobacter cloacae ATCC 23355 and Bacillus cereus ATCC 33018. Sensitivity of the strains were determined using the minimum inhibitory concentration and disk diffusion test and the results showed that the inhibition zones corresponding to values from 15 mm were considered sensitive. For phytochemical evaluation was determined levels of antioxidant activity, total phenols and flavonoids. Thus, the extract was diluted in seven concentrations: 25 the 1000 mg L-1, and evaluated in triplicate. Bacterial growth was inhibited at concentrations of 100 mg mL-1 and the antioxidant activity was observed from 50 mg mL-1, with values corresponding to 4,62% to 64,90% plateau at a concentration of 500 mg mL-1. In the evaluation of radical scavenging activity, using the free radical DPPH, the extract demonstrated antioxidant activity (IC50% = 378,80 μg L-1). However, it has not been possible to correlate the levels of antioxidant activity at levels of phenols and flavonoids. Perhaps the presence of other substances alkaloids and tannins present in the extracts may have been responsible for the antioxidant activity found. The extract was able to inhibit the growth at concentrations of 500 and 1000 mg mL-1 except Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Salmonella enterica subsp. serovar Typhi ATCC 19214, all strains had the same results in both the disk diffusion test as in CIM. That way the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of EHPG 10% may represent important therapeutic potential, particularly for animal health in organic and agroecological production systems, where the use of chemical antibiotics is vetoed. It is concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract of Punica granatum Linn. has antimicrobial activity, demonstrating potential benefit for the control of bovine mastitis.

Tarts were analyzed for chemical composition. For the in situ experiment used three steers fistulated Holstein and fitted with rumen cannulas were kept in individual pens. The feeds were incubated for 0, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours. For the in vitro experiment tarts were used for the preparation of the following treatments: Brachiaria Brizantha (standard bulky) in inclusion levels (0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 100%) of TES, TEA, TEG and TEC, using a randomized design. In the in situ TES, TEA and TEC showed similar and higher degradation of dry matter (DMD) with a value of 89.99, 89.99% and 83.87%, respectively, showing better performance than the TEG, which presented 63.84%. The same behavior was observed for potential degradation and effective degradability in passage rates of 2; 5:08% / h. Conditions worked, extruded soy tarts, peanut and canola showed the same behavior of ruminal degradation kinetics of dry matter, which can be used in ruminant nutrition when available. The PCG 30% of TES and 100%; TEA 100%; TEG 100% and 100% TEC were 209.43; 209.70; 196.14; 144.74 and 161.44 ml / g dry matter, respectively, where the last two have the worst behavior .From same manner as the kinetics of ruminal fermentation TES all inclusion levels and TEA 30% and 100% showed better behavior parameters, demonstrating the greatest potential for use in ruminant feed.

The disease is liable for damages up to 50% in late cultivars. To investigate the intensity of the disease and damage imposed on the culture, we compared the situations reboleiras (spots of the disease on the crops) with the healthy areas in the search for a biological factor (inoculum concentration) and / or physical-chemical he was acting at the level of reboleiras, raising stress on the plant, thus leading to infection. 25 crops were inspected at random on North Paraná. In all of the disease was observed, with an average of 35.21% of the affected area with plants in crops. The total mass of grains and thousand grain weight were compared between plants collected from healthy plants and the reboleiras areas. The loss was approximately 3.61% of the final production due to illness. We evaluated the chemical composition and physical soil properties within and outside reboleiras. The chemical composition (pH, OM, Ca, P, K, Al) and physical (micro and macroporosity) attributes did not differ by Student's test at 5% probability. However soil density was statistically different in the two environments with 1.23 (Mg m-3) and 1.37 in reboleiras out of them. In areas reboleiras the inoculum potential was 65.5 microsclerotia per gram of soil and 62.5 in the healthy areas, not differing among themselves (p <0.05).

In this study, the spatial variability of relief, vertical boom movements of a sprayer operating at two travel speeds, and the effect on the spatial variability of spray deposition were evaluated. Elevation data for construction of the digital terrain model (DTM) were obtained using a total station, and boom movement was assessed via digital videography. To determine deposition, the bright blue marker FDC‑1 (0.6%, m v⁻¹) was added to the spray tank, and its absorbance was measured by spectrophotometry. Descriptive statistics, spatial analysis (geostatistics), and GIS techniques were applied for data analysis. The results indicate spatial dependence in deposition between the two speeds (1.725 m s⁻¹ and 2.736 m s⁻¹), with increased deposition at the higher speed, while elevation did not influence deposition at either speed.

Seeds of eight commercial lots of carrots were used cultivar 'Brasilia', subject to the initial analysis for the determination of water content, germination test, first reading of germination, seedling emergence, emergence speed index, traditional accelerated aging and solution saturated NaCl (41 ° C for 48 hours). In the first study to evaluate the tetrazolium test method, after preconditioning the seeds were sectioned by two different cuts immediately immersed in tetrazolium solution (2, 3, 5 triphenylmethyl chloride) in concentrations of 0,5 and 1,0 % for 6 to 24 hours in absence of light at 30 ° C. In the second experiment, seeds remained immersed in the solution of 2, 3, 5 triphenylmethyl chloride at 0,5% and 1,0% for 6 hours at temperatures of 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 ° C. In the third experiment the seeds were conditioned by soaking for two hours on a roll of paper under 25 ° C. Then, the seeds were sectioned and immersed in tetrazolium 0,1% solution for 1 hour under 35 ° C. This methodology was repeated two more times, with the cut changed in the first and the second cut to length beyond the staining for 2 hours. Following each method, the seeds were rinsed in distilled water and evaluated. We conclude the cut made at the time of exposing the carrot seeds in contact with the tetrazolium salt, it is the most influential factor in their coloring. The tetrazolium test can be performed in carrot seeds using two hours in pre soaking period, parallel cutting and withdrawing the embryo near the maximum tissue and immersed in 0,1% solution for two hours under 35 ° C.

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of temperature and the air relative humidity on the watering area and drops evaporation time after being deposited on the tomato plant leaves with different phytosanitary products in juices prepared with or without adjuvants. Calibrated drops with 1000 µm of diameter were deposited on the adaxial surface of tomato plant leaves and monitored up to evaporation under two environmental conditions (31 °C and 35 UR e 25 °C and 75 UR). Evaporation time was determined by the interval between drop deposition and its extinction. Products used for juice preparation were the following: CabrioTop®(2 g L-1), Kumulus®DF (2 g L-1), Nomolt®150 (0,250 ml L-1), Pirate®(0,250 ml L-1), Nimbus®(5,0 ml L-1), Li700®(1,5 ml L-1), CalSuper®(25 ml L-1), BoroSuper®(3,5 ml L-1) and FoliFósforo® (7,5 ml L-1). Products Cabrio Top®, Kumulus®DF, Nomolt®150 and Pirate® were tested alone (with distilled water) and a specific blend (CabrioTop®, Kumulus®DF, Nomolt®150, Pirate®, CalSuper®, and BoroSuper® FoliFósforo®), often it used by producers and tomato in greenhouse Bandeirantes-PR region. To assess drops spreading and evaporation on the surface, a system was developed to simulate different environmental conditions. The systems consists of a temperature and relative humidity control unit, a drops generator which generates drops similar to those used in agricultural field spraying (200 - 1000 µm) and a stestoscope equipped with a high definition camera to capture sequential images. In juices without adjuvants, the drip watering area increases at 31°C and 35% RH and evaporation time decreases. In general, the combination of products and environmental conditions affect the drip watering area. The tested mix brought significant improvement to the drip watering area in relation to most tested products. In juices with adjuvants, drops evaporation time was reduced at high temperatures and low air relative hunidity for most juices. Adjuvants action on the watering area and drops evaporation time depends on the product to which they were added.

The treatments consisted of inclusion levels (0%, 4%, 8% and 12%) of soybean oil, peanut oil, canola oil and sunflower oil to standard forage (Brachiaria), using a completely randomized design with thirteen treatments and three replications. Ruminal fermentation kinetics and methane production was assessed by semi-automatic vitro gas production technique. Ruminal fermentation kinetics in vitro, as well as the production of methane, oil and for different concentrations studied had similar behavior to each other, with no statistical difference between them. It can be concluded that the different sources and oil concentrations did not affect ruminal fermentation kinetics in vitro and greenhouse gas emissions, but the inclusion of different oils reduced the emission of CO2 and CH4 in all percentages. However there is still the need for more research in this area to clarify the boundaries between positive and negative effects of adding oil in the diet of ruminants.

Este trabalho teve comoobjetivo quantificar o consumo de água nas pulverizações agrícolas no ano de 2014/15e estimar o consumo de água para o ano de 2024 para as culturas de soja, cana-de-açúcar, algodão, milho e trigo, bem como estimar o custo da logística do transporte daágua. Foi utilizado uma média das frequências e dos volumes de água utilizado nasaplicações de agroquímicos para as culturas avaliadas. Em levantamento de campo em60 produtores rurais em 10 estados da federação, participantes de programas demelhoria da qualidade da aplicação de agroquímicos foi possível determinarcaracterísticas das propriedades rurais que proporcionaram a estimativa do custo comlogística de transporte da água. A cana-de-açúcar (185,91 L ha-1) e o trigo (182,22 L ha-1) apresentavam as maiores taxas de aplicação e o algodão (122,50 L ha-1) apresentoua menor taxa de aplicação. O Brasil consumiu na safra 2014/2015, 41,87 Mm3 de águaem aplicações de agroquímicos para atender a demanda nas culturas avaliadas. Em2024, o consumo de água ficaria em torno de 18,35% que se consumiu em 2014/2015,caso todas as aplicações fossem realizadas com tecnologia que possibilita menorconsumo de água dentre as utilizadas na agricultura. Em relação ao custo por m3 deágua, à medida que aumenta o tamanho da propriedade rural, os custos também sãoelevados, no entanto com a maior utilização do equipamento transportador de água(caminhão-pipa) ocorre a diluição do custo e assim, o custo do m3 da água torna-semenor. Uso de técnicas de aplicação de agroquímicos que reduzam o volume de águapor área e alternativas para a redução da frequência das pulverizações agrícolas podemcontribuir com a preservação da água disponível e de suas reservas. O aumento da áreacultivada eleva a tecnologia empregada nas pulverizações. O aumento da área cultivadadiminui o custo do m3 de água utilizada na pulverização.

Therefore, products that, directly or indirectly, affect the local ecology has its use unauthorized, favoring the present biota. The soil macrofauna of invertebrate, organisms with at least 10 mm in length and greater than 2 mm in width, are essentials for the full function of the soil ecosystem, they are known as soil engineers. This study aimed to analyze the invertebrates macrofauna biodiversity in a cane sugar organic farming system. Samples were collected in Jaboti, PR in summer and winter of 2014 and 2015. In each analysis, 10 sampling points were defined in an random order, equidistant at least 10 meters. In each point, a portion of land was collected (the measures 25 x 25 x 30 cm), and divided into three strata, namely, 0-10, 10-20, 20-30cm. Each stratum was packed in a sealed plastic bag. Three pitfall traps were placed together, and these remained in place for 48 hours. The samples were transported to the laboratory to be sorted and cataloged in direct observation with the help of forceps. 5.760 ind/m² were found, to the edaphic fauna and 1.223 individuals to the epigeic fauna. Three species of earthworms were identified, and Pontoscolex corethrurus was the most abundant of them. As for arthropods, the most dominant order Hymenoptera was represented mostly by the family Formicidae. The study site, a monoculture in a organic system, indicative of disturbance to the environment, but supplies conditions to the presence of benefic insects in the agroecologic system.

A combinação de estratégias de controle parasitário, incluindo autilização de fitoterápicos, pode reduzir o uso de anti-helmínticos químicos. Plantastaníferas, por apresentarem compostos fenólicos, principalmente taninos condensados,foram associadas à ação anti-helmíntica. O trigo mourisco possui alto teor de lisina, e oefeito no controle dos helmintos possivelmente se deve ao seu nível proteico. O presentetrabalho objetivou realizar revisão bibliográfica sobre o Fagopyrum esculentum Moenche avaliar, in vitro, o potencial anti-helmíntico do extrato hidroalcoólico de suas sementes(EHATM) em nematódeos gastrintestinais de ovinos. Trigo mourisco pode ser utilizadocomo adubo verde, sendo importante opção para cobertura de solo e reciclagem denutrientes, assim como uma alternativa para grãos e forragem. No florescimento, a plantapode representar fonte de alimento para predadores de insetos indesejáveis, aumentandosuas populações. Na pecuária, pode alimentar bovinos, ovinos, suínos, caprinos e aves,apresentando qualidade similar à forragem de milheto, mas com maior concentração deproteína. O trigo mourisco pode atuar como forragem funcional, auxiliando a fermentaçãoruminal. Para avaliação da atividade anti-helmíntica do extrato hidroalcoólico (EHATM),foram utilizadas fezes de ovinos naturalmente infectados, com contagem mínima de 2.000ovos por grama de fezes (OPG). Foram realizados o teste de eclodibilidade e o teste demigração de larvas, sendo utilizadas quatro concentrações do EHATM (0,625; 1,25; 2,5e 5 mg mL-1), dois controles (negativo e positivo) e o controle DMSO (0,75 % + águadestilada). Posteriormente, o EHATM foi avaliado quanto aos teores totais de polifenóis,flavonoides, taninos condensados e atividade antioxidante. Para as condições avaliadaspelo presente estudo, foi possível verificar atividade anti-helmíntica nos testes avaliadosin vitro. O EHATM inibiu 19,66 % da eclosão na concentração 1,25 mg mL-1e 17,66 %da migração de larvas na concentração 5 mg mL-1, sendo estes os maiores valoresencontrados. Observou-se atividade antioxidante em todas as concentrações, atingindo38,71 % à 3 mg mL-1com IC50% = 3,83 mg mL-1. Na mesma concentração para os taninoscondensados, flavonoides e polifenóis totais e foi observado respectivamente 288,89 mgequiv. ácido tânico, 31 mg equivalente rutina e 54,33 mg equivalente ácido gálico porgrama de EHATM. Entretanto, o platô para polifenóis totais foi atingido a 1 mg mL-1,com 54,33 mg equivalente ácido gálico. Além do efeito direto do EHATM sobrenematódeos gastrintestinais de ovinos, pesquisas futuras se justificam também pelapossibilidade de efeito indireto, devido aos estímulos imunitários que a dieta proteicadetermina sobre o favorecimento no combate à verminose. Concluiu-se que o trigomourisco possui diversos benefícios na nutrição humana, na agricultura e na pecuária, etambém foi possível verificar atividade anti-helmíntica e antioxidante, demonstrando opotencial do EHATM no controle parasitológico de ovinos.
